Minutes of the Last Meeting

The minutes of the meeting held on 7th April 2009 were discussed and an amendment made to the wording  on Item 5 Affordable Housing.  The item should read as follows:

The Parish Council are disappointed that they have not been informed of any of the decisions made by AVDC on allocation.  The minutes were then approved as an accurate account of the meeting, and signed by the Chairman.

Matters Arising

Highways Department

Potholes

  • Potholes on Manor Road and Worminghall Road were reported. 
  • Brill Road will be closed for 3 weeks due to repair between June and September.  Date not yet known.

               

Other items to note (not highways)

  • The tree overhanging the footpath on the Bicester Road has now been removed.
  • Kerbsett on Brill Road at entrance to Little London Green has been replaced but not the one on the Bicester Road.

Protection of Common Land

Lay-bys on the Thame Road

·         There is still concern about the vehicles parking and unloading on the Thame Road.

Play Area/Playing Field

·         Awaiting quotes for fence and gates.

Anti Social Behaviour

·         Teenagers from outside  the village are using the play area for a meeting place at night and the early hours of the morning.  This includes driving cars over the playing field.  This was reported to the local police on two occasions but with no response.  Clerk to contact Sue Jones of Thames Valley Police.

Bucks Recycling

·         Burning waste on this site has not been authorised by the Environmental Agency.

·         Following Councillor Cherry's letter to John Bercow MP, Aylesbury Vale District Council have sent a letter to Bucks Recycling requesting them to cease parking lorries outside the premises and reinstate  the grass verge.  Both issues are to be carefully monitored by the Parish Council.

·         Nothing further has been reported.  Councillor Derek Pearce to speak to Mr Ovens.

·         No further action can be taken on this matter therefore this item can now be removed.

Oakley Tidy up Weekend

·         The Oakley Tidy up Weekend will be 17th July 2009

Affordable Housing

·         Completion date has still to be announced but all rented units have now been allocated and offers have been made on three of the six shared ownership units.

Jericho Farm

·         A meeting was held between Mr Doug Florent, Mr Jack Peters, Planning Consultant for Oxford Gun Company and members of the Parish Council with regard to the new planning application to restart building the final bunds at the shooting school.

·         Contact has been made with the new Department and assurance given that this is now up and running.  Clerk to progress this matter.

Parish Paths Partnership

·         Councillor J Mole requested a letter of thanks be sent on behalf of the Parish Council to Mr  Michael Gutteridge for the work he has done and continues to do  for the Parish Paths Partnership

Parking

·         It has been reported that  cars, vans and even lorries are parking on grass verges and footpaths, in particular, along the Worminghall Road.   Clerk to contact Sue Jones for copies of the letters issued to owners of such vehicles.

·         Parking outside the school has been causing problems to some residents, particularly as the vehicles can be there all day.

Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Parish Council is scheduled to take place on Tuesday,  7th          July 2009 at 7.30 p.m., in the Village Hall.

 

 

 

 

The meeting closed at 8.30 pm
