Play Area Refurbishment Project Oakley parish Council invite you, your Family & Friends to the opening of the newly refurbished Village Play Area SUNDAY 12TH May at MIDDAY
Oakley Parish Council are pleased to announce that we have secured Grant funding for the Village Play Area Refurbishment from WREN & FCC Environment using funding generated from the Landfill Communities
Peter Cox, managing director of WREN said: “WREN is committed to funding projects that make a real difference to local communities, children and families. The Oakley Play Area Refurbishment Project will provide a fantastic space for local people to get outdoors and have some fun. We’re delighted to support Oakley Parish Council to make this happen and look forward to the completion of the project” UPDATE 05-05-2013 Work has nearly completed by our chosen contractor Wickstead Playscapes and the opening is planned for MIDDAY 12th MAY. We are proud to welcome them back to Oakley. This is the 4th year that we have been involved in this great event supported by AVDC The last 3 years have been "SOLD OUT" Tickets on sale from the 19th September 2013 WATCH THIS SPACE FOR TICKET INFO
YOUR VILLAGE NEEDS YOU
Oakley village Events is the Fund raising arm of the Village Hall. Since its formation it has raised 10’s of thousands of £’s for much needed improvements. We are running a number of events this year (Golden Jubilee street party, Village Day, The Annual Village Cricket Match, “The Theatre in the Villages” & the Christmas Tree Lighting) but, without your help these much loved events will not be possible!
